Artwork Description:
The Contaminated Water series continues with this piece which is delving into the changes that can happen to the aquatic animals in our water systems. Biologists have discovered mutations in frogs and fish so why not for the water spider as well. Rust pigmentation was used to create the design using scientific iron filings on hand dyed fabric. Dense hand stitching in a circular pattern going both clock-wise and counter clock-wise give dimension and movement to the artwork as well as physical texture. Artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
