Artwork Description:   Kukulcan also known in the pantheon of Mayan gods as Quetzalcoatl or the feathered serpent is also the name of a priest/king/cacique that governed the Maya, founded important cities, avoided human sacrifices and ascended to heaven in a raft of snakes to become Venus. This happened for he was cheated by other priests that were jealous of his success, they got him drunk and forced him to have sex with his sister. When Kukulcan woke up and realized what had he done, got depressed, and left and went to the ocean on a raft of snakes and from there ascended to the sky to become Venus. It is a beautiful metaphor to say that he died. It has a simple cardboard frame (matted).
