Artwork Description:

TITLE, Prehistoric Horse from the Magic Caves of Cerebella. This work was sold in 2014 to a Private Collector in Rhode Island. This piece uses mixed media on cold press paper including British watercolors, Dutch gouache, Liquitex acrylic, and dried pigments suspended in acrylic polymer gel. The work demonstrates my dedication to the experimentation with color via the use of bold tonal combinations. The semi abstract and expressionistic nature, in combination with its primitive style, balances illusion with reality. The work also demonstrates my skills as an artist who juxtaposes sharp edge design with a fluidity of form. A similar cave painting was found in the Abruzzo Region of Italy near Lama dei Peligni.
