Textures and patterns in nature often have no apparent scale. Images from outer space can resemble something under a microscope. My abstracts combine multiple photographs of diverse surfaces. Totally new images are created out of disparate elements, often losing any recognition of their origins. I then subtly overlay a title that the resulting image has suggested to me, words and typography contributing to the whole impression. I make the original limited-edition prints on an eight-colour pigmented ink printer.
