SANDRO BISONNI is an italian painter with lots of Humor and music in him. He is direct, open and yet a mystery. It took me a while to recognize his painting made for the project titled DEPARTURE. I had to look from afar to receive his offering and now that I have , it will always be a friendly reminder for me to move on...........With his "First Light" he is already created anew...............

SANDRO BISONNI è un pittore italiano che ha dentro di sé un grande senso dell’umorismo e una certa musicalità. Lui è diretto, aperto e tuttavia rimane molto misterioso. Mi ci è voluto un pò per riconoscere che il suo modo di dipingere era adatto a poter partecipare al progetto intitolato “PARTENZA". Ho dovuto guardare la sua opera da una certa distanza per percepire ciò che lui mi stava comunicando, cioè un richiamo amichevole al cambiamento........... Con la sua opera “Prima Luce” egli ha già creato questa novità.

Sandro Bisonni’s drawings and paintings investigate the allure of using different techniques in the same piece. These works, some figurative (Mediterraneo), others abstract (Le Conchiglie, Pioggia, Riccione) have limited color schemes and very loose lines, and at first glance they seem more like studies than completed pieces. But Bisonni is actually exhibiting a self-imposed and determined form of primitivism. Bisonni has turned his trained technique in on itself, reducing his compositions down to their most basic elements.

I disegni e i dipinti di Sandro Bisonni indagano la dimensione della Fascinazione utilizzando tecniche diverse nella stessa opera. Queste opere,
alcune figurative come “Mediterraneo”,
altre astratte come ad esempio
“Le Conchiglie, Pioggia, Riccione” hanno limitate combinazioni di colori e linee molto sciolte, e a prima vista sembrano più simili a studi che a pezzi compiuti.
Ma Bisonni in realtà manifesta una volontà d’imporre a se stesso una certa forma di primitivismo. Bisonni ha trasformato la sua formazione tecnica su se stessa, riducendo le sue composizioni fino ai suoi elementi di base.

The Italian artist Sandro Bisonni invites us into a dramatic, natural, magical world with his intense, fiery brushstrokes. Embracing the elements of the fantastical, his work can be dark, reminiscent of a fairy-tale forest. Though whimsical, there's nothing childlike about these abstract oil paintings. Bisonni gives the viewer the sense of stepping into a dream, of paths untraveled, ends unknown. Waves of greens and grays and the light that penetrates them are almost clues, imaginary patterns to follow, that may lead only to more questions. At one moment his paintings may conjure a skyline, or a road, or a breaking wave, but at another glance they represent an entirely different, new idea.
 
Bisonni’s background in philosophy informs these subtle concepts. Influenced primarily by the American painter William Congdon, Sandro Bisonni's own voice is vibrant and moving. He offers us a surprising approach, encompassing in his paintings both the real and imagined.  Bisonni does not allow us to hesitate - we must delve into the world he creates, unknown but possible.

L'artista italiano Sandro Bisonni ci invita ad entrare nel suo intenso e magico mondo, drammatico e naturale, con pennellate infuocate. Abbracciando gli elementi del fantastico, il suo lavoro può essere scuro, quasi da ricordare una favolosa foresta incantata. Benchè estroso, non c'è nulla di naif in questi astratti dipinti ad olio. Bisonni dà allo spettatore il senso di essere dentro ad un sogno, di sentieri inesplorati di cui non conosci la fine. Ondate di verdi e grigi e la luce che penetra in loro è quasi un ‘indizio, un immaginario modello da seguire, che può portare solo a più domande. La Formazione filosofica di Bisonni sottende questi sottili concetti. Influenzato principalmente dal pittore americano William Congdon, Sandro Bisonni è una voce vibrante e commovente. Egli ci offre un sorprendente approccio, che comprende nelle sue opere sia il reale che l’immaginario. Bisonni non ci consente di esitare - dobbiamo entrare nel mondo che egli crea, sconosciuto, ma possibile.
