Artwork Description:

Full title is TURKEY LURKY THE MISSING PLAGUE MASK. The one of a kind box assemblage, also a work in my VIRAL SERIES, is wired in the back to hank of a wall. The media include: pine wood, gesso, glues, turkey bone, acrylic paint, and metal. During the Black Plague of the middle ages, the people of Venice wore masks with long bird-like noses in an attempt to guard themselves against contacting the disease. The shadows created in this recessed box are considered to create three optical illusions, depending upon the viewer’s point of view. Price includes the artwork, Certificate of Authenticity, packing materials, handling, and shipment carton.
