Artwork Description:
Many of my drawings deal with New York, where I have lived for the last 11 years. It is a fascinating city with its bridges, all its different immigrants and different neighborhoods. Here you see the Lower Eastside, the Manhattan Bridge and the word Barukh (from a welcome wish) for the poor Jewish masses which came from Eastern Europe a century ago. My first appartment in NY was in the Village, and I used to stroll through the Lower East Side often. My husband was born there and showed me a lot of things away from the tourist paths. It has inspired me a lot.
