Artwork Description:

The figure mounted on the fused glass pendant is faience. It is said that the Egyptians used faience as a material for their amulets and talismans not because it was a precious material but rather because it repesented light and rebirth. The necklace is 20 inches around and strung with small blue glass beads on black leather. The findings and clasp are silver.
