Artwork Description:
Living in this ever-evolving industrialized world, recycling has become a significant part of our lives to combat the contamination of our environment. This is not to mention other problems of society such as war and conflicts. In this mixed media, I have used man-made plastic bags, wires, newspapers, a plastic bottle, some woodpiles, a dozen of aluminum cans, calico fabrics and ribbons, to resemble destruction against the nature. The leaves, branches and bark used on the frame represent the nature. The camera represents memory. The painting of father and daughter shows the love that still exist among us; the hope that we have against the war and conflicts. The little girl innocently holds up her pretty dress to show her father with pride. But this dress being made from recycled man-made materials shows the conflict we face each day between peace and destruction, purity and pollution, and, love and hatred.
