This is No. 3 from my series entitled Famous Flirts --a surrealistic yet whimsical portrait of Catherine Howard 1521-1542 , the fifth wife of 6 of King Henry VIII of England. She was ordered beheaded by Henry, ostensibly for adultery. He was 48, and impotent, and she was about 19 or 20. Acrylics with paper collage, jewelry, beaded lace, found items on canvas.
