Artwork Description:

This work incorporates printmaking and painting. It was created from an artists proof from an earlier etching and created because I lost access to my etching studio because of the Viral Crisis of 2020. The traditional etching techniques of intaglio, aquatint, and the plate I used measured nine inches by six inches. Nine acid baths were required to etch the image onto the zinc plate. This etching, enhanced with pigments, is a one-of-a-kind original. I used an artist s proof from the printing. Metallic pigments give the work an otherworldly feeling. The work ships without a mat or frame in order to keep the price as low as possible.
