Artwork Description:

The work ships to buyer without a mat or frame this keeps the price quite affordable for the collector. This etching was made with five individual zinc plates its inspiration originated with an antique photo circa 1890 from the US Library of Congress Print Picture Collection in Washington, DC. Each zinc plate measures 4 inches high by 3 inches wide, and the overall image measures4 inches high by 15 wide, or 10.160cm by 38.735cm. The print measures eleven inches high by twenty-two inches wide. My special techniques of ink application and wiping help to produce the mysterious monotype effects in this etching. My studio techniques included intaglio, aquatint and drypoint. Media included a blend of inks and Somerset Paper textured and cream-colored , from England. The etching is enhanced by gouache and watercolors.
