I combined an evening hillside with our backyard in the morning. I wanted to capture that mysterious feeling that Carlos Castaneda calls the crack in the world in his books on Don Juan. But when my sister-in-law saw the painting she immediately exclaimed, I know that placeIts a cherry orchard I just saw two days ago in WisconsinThe painting is covered with Soluvar varnish for preservation and the edge is painted in thick antique gold to finish the painting and render a frame unnecessary.
