representing Blues Past and Present. sadly John Lee is no longer with us, but just as Muddy Waters, his music lives on. Muddy Waters grew up in a log cabin on the Stovall Plantation west
of Clarksdale. The Cabin was damaged by a tornado. Gibbons with others went to inspect the damage. The cabin was barely standing. A roof beam was donated to Gibbons out of a trashpile to
be thrown away. Rick Rayburn of Memphis Pyramid Guitars, and Gibbons co-designed two 6-
string guitars out of the cypress roof beam. The cooper finish, on the guitars represents the color of the Mississippi River, the triangular headstock is the Delta. One of John Lees favorite guitars is made from Waters cabin. He said he feels like Im Playing part of him. And the beat goes on. says
