Size - (metric):

Artwork Description:
The premise behind Mental Prison is the idea that everyone, whether
they're aware of it or not is trapped within the prison of their own mind.
In order to visualize this idea I painted a man who is trapped in the two
dimensional world of the painting. Having become aware of this he presses
against the inside of the painting in an effort to break free into our
three dimensional world.
It's a visual metaphor for the idea of someone becoming aware of
their own mental prison and their frustration at not knowing how to get out.
Basically, it says that you cannot escape who you are.
