Artwork Description:

The portable studio was a staple piece of equipment in early 20th c. New England, allowing artists to go out into nature and make art in the cold season, sheltered in a makeshift studio, equipped with heat, and outfitted with all they needed. These two artist friends went out together to make art, using their portable studiopulled by hand into the landscape. Collection James and Sarah Taylor, Owensboro, Kentucky.
