Artwork Description:
All I know about this young dancer is that he is filled with humility and grace. He is painted with sumi-e inks on acid-free paper. Sumi-e inks is the medium used in many Asian paintings. The work is surrounded by acid-free material, giving it centuries of longevity. It is in a rich -- and expensive, I might add -- mahogany and black frame. When my wife and I go to the frame shop, we never think of price or time. We pick what goes with the work and stay until we are convinced we have done the right thing. Sometimes we have spend the better part of a day picking out frames and mats for two or three paintings. The painting is straight and squared up. Only my photo of it is askew.
