This is a work from a series that began in 2007. Continuing with myinterest in environmental perception (both historic and contemporary), these works highlighted current trends in pop/eco-culture focussing literally on the earth as a whole and referring to the significance of the first photographs of the earth taken from space. Cartography, botanical and later photographic records have significantly contributed to our shifting perception. �Centre of the Universe� refers unashamedly to our confused ideas about local and global environmental issues�
