Artist Statement:
Having been formally trained
in the classical style and in
the mediums of oil and oil
pastels, I have progressed to
working in the modern medium
of acrylics. I have several
styles, depending on the
subject, and my desire.
Although it seems I range from
realism to abstract realism to
modern impressionism. My
current work seems to be
centered on landscape
paintings of
Oregon/Washington. I am
starting a series of portraits
of "Woman in Hat" (the first
one you can see in my
portfolio), and a series of
Fort Vancouver buildings
“Officers Row”. After over
thirty years as a practicing
Graphic Designer, I am glad to
be back to my roots...Fine
