Artist Statement
My work is a diary or narrative of the relationships that I have with my family and people closest to me. Each painting is a quilt of memories cultivated through my ideas and methods of collecting ideas and stitching them together. Through use of vibrant colors, cuts in the canvases and sewing surfaces together I am able to convey a quilt of these visions. There are different components of each individual depicted in the works.
