The work is wired and ready to hang. A wall hook and nail are included. This mixed media print employed the genres of monotype and etching. Media includes: RivesBFK white paper from France oil base etching ink Charbonnel brand mulberry bark paper from Thailand infused with kozo threads and treated with methyl cellulose silkscreen ink, and acrylic paint. This one-of-a-kind print is from my series devoted to state sponsored execution of innocent prisoners, a group of artworks entitled, “THE TORTUTED FACE OF CHRIST: VERONICA’S VEIL”. BACKGROUND ON IMAGE NARRATIVE: On the day of Christ s execution, Veronica a woman in the crowd that lined the Jerusalem road to Calvary stepped in front of Christ and washed the blood and dirt from His face. According to Early Christian legend, an exact facial imprint of Jesus was immediately transferred onto her cloth.
