Artwork Description:

One of only 6 hand-printed serigraphs Set in crenellated walled garden of an estate, perhaps the garden of Eden, the heroic female figure is beset by masculine devices intent on her seduction. She, as a well fortified female however, puts up a stout rebuttal in defence but, can t helped being tempted by the dangling fruit growing in the garden and, in the background looms the waiting, red lined open coffin, lying in blatant readiness for the end of her life. This piece is about the passage and pressure of time, love, relationships and the natural imperative to reproduce before it is too late physically. Like being caught up in a dark and perverse fairy-tale, our heroine must choose her path carefully but, at the same time she must operate under the wilfull, merciless and confining auspices of a cruel mother nature, limiting her options while all the time being relentlessly haunted, hunted and pursued by ardent suitors and death.
