Artwork Description:

This is a wall piece that is bronze, gold, silver, wood and steel. The raised bronze rectangles grew organically from the center out as I welded the shapes in a freeform progression. The gold a silver are applied leaf metal on to the black stained wood. The frame is welded steel. The title Metropolis comes from the design reminding me of the way ancient cities would look as the grew from the city center outward.
