Reds in Season was an "accidental" still life composition that arose after our neighbour gave us some red peppers and red tomatoes. We placed these on a white platter in our kitchen. Then after pouring two glasses of red wine and giving one to my wife I turned back to see the bottle of wine and the glass sitting alongside the platter at which time I was struck by the vibrancy of the red colours and realised that I had an excellent composition in front of me.
