Artwork Description:

The Fremantle Markets are part of the busy scene at Fremantle a beautiful port city close to where I live. Fremantle is best known for hosting the defence of the America's Cup during the 1980's. The Markets are always a vibrant scene and are the subject of many of my paintings. For me there is a close link between the lifestyle in Fremantle with all that inspires me about Italy. In this painting I set out to catch the moment of the shopper surrounded by the rich colours of the fresh produce.
