Artwork Description:
Have you ever seen a lighthouse in action helping someone stranded in the sea at night
I notice that we don t think or speak about them much in society.
They play a big role in helping us receive the resources we need from overseas
I painted this lighthouse piece as I wanted to shed light on how important lighthouses are and how much more we need to appreciate what they do for us.
As you can see, someone is dancing making a commotion to get help on a rocky outcrop far out a sea, somehow they have been lucky enough to have a lighthouse spot them and are now in the lighthouse beams
In this artwork I wanted to explore 2 ideas:
1 I love lighthouse and I think they are amazing.
I think that they are something that in society is not looked at enough or recognized for how much it does for us, cause if not for them, ship wouldn t be able to see at night and we wouldn t be able to get the things we need and want that come via ships.
The other thing I wanted to explore was shadows I love shadows
Shadows are amazing, from one angle it s completely dark and on the other side is an outline of the object thanks to light that now illuminates it
This is what I try to show on this painting, the beauty of light at night when it hits an object and illuminates just the outline of it.
This painting arrives ready to hang.
