Kimmie Hamm: 'Nameless', 2016 Acrylic Painting, Christian. Nameless Acrylic on Canvas Broken and nameless in life, but restored in heaven. I see rows of nameless graves on a dark road but ahead in the twilight sky visions of beautiful music so powerful that it begins to heal the brokenness of life thus creating a place in heaven...

  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Jean-Luc Lacroix - Jean-Luc Lacroix offers to older tools, utensils or other items the chance of a life more beautiful, a contemplative retreat. His talent in the art of recovery and his imagination in the creative reconstruction are without limits. A chair or a console in the sculptured design gives the tray of a pedal assembly the elegance of lace, a fifth wheel as a small pedestal table makes it a beautiful set to pulleys and cranks... But the effect of his work would be incomplete if it did not emphasize the humor that runs through each part: a phantasmagoric bestiary or realistic vain brightenes his work, as well as suggestive names like aEURoeHangover seweraEUR, aEURoeUrlubaEUR or aEURoeBrutusaEUR. Abroad (paintings & sculptures): - represented by Jacques Boulan (Art Editor): Japan. Sweden. Norway. Germany. France. - USA. Belgium. Luxemburg. Spain. United Kingdom. From 2009 to 2010 - Luxemburg, City Bank 1998 - Geneve (Gallery ) 2001 - Rotary Club "Recup Art", Charleroi (Belgium) 2008 - Gallery San Pedro, California / Chattanooga, Tennessee 2004 - "Don Quichotte", Logrono, Spain 2004 - Casa delle Culture, Cosenza (87100) Italy 2006 - "Rot Mail Art Project" in Stuttgart, Brazil, Chicago, Hungaria, Yeshkar (Russia), Canada, Spain Personal exhibitions in France - Exhibition at "Savour Club" Paris 16 (near "Maison de la ...

Kimmie Hamm - Everywhere you dream to go can become a part of you and everywhere you have been is a part of you. I am an explorer and optimist at heart, so when I set out to create something one word always comes to mind: Possibilities I feel that through art I can explore the visions in my mind, everything from a small flower or blade of grass to distant worlds filled with whimsy and thoughts of what ifaEUR|aEUR|. Culturally I have two aspects that influence me one being my Native American ancestry and the other my German immigrant ancestry. I am deeply rooted in the beauty and wonderment of nature. My wise grandmother told me if you have strong roots your sprit can fly anywhere and still return home. That saying has always stuck with me and in many ways sparked my imagination. The explorer in me must come from my immigrant ancestry. My great grandfatheraEURtms family traveled to America on a steam ship in 1874. I can imagine them traveling for what must have seemed like an eternity. I often contemplate what they must have been thinking, and try to express the excitement of the unknown and the anticipation ...

Setyo Mardiyantoro - Setyo Mardiyatoro was born in Java, Indonesia the 13/04/64 and got a degree in Agricultural technology at the National University of Jember, Indonesia in 1990. In'91 he came to Italy to follow his real vocation which is artistic. At present he lives in Naples where he works as a painter. In his work there is all the history of his experience which has matured in two completely different worlds similar only for their richness and variety of traditional cultures and the production of works of art. The remembrance and the nostalgia for an exuberant nature can be seen in the Italian landscapes which admiration covers with a golden light and which are enriched with stylized birds, the symbol of sentiments and thoughts which they have recalled up. Images of oriental fairy tales, mythological scenes and animals confront one another with the enigmatic faces of western women in thoughtful attitudes. In his first works he is inspired by the technique of Indonesian Batik, where the "tik" is the drop of wax used to leave a point uncolored. In his contact with traditional western art he has found that pointillism is particularly near in it's results to this ...

Amy Wetterlin - I strive to exalt the human spirit through capturing composition, structures (organic and non)and repeating patterns. The patterns and forms create an abstract while maintaining balance and movement of life force. Life either moves or is stagnant...it's up to you. Thanks for looking! Cheers Amy...

Amy Wetterlin - John E Metcalfe - My focus is to depict light in new and unique ways. With each painting I create, I explore the fundamental elements of light and how the viewer actually sees and interprets colors. I intuitively seek to mix unconventional color combinations and techniques that provide just enough information to form that image. I often reduce the subject to the elements necessary to depict light and infuse motion. As a lifelong resident of Florida, I have always been fascinated by the play of tropical light on the land, the water, and the vegetation. It is my muse and a constant source of inspiration. The light in my paintings is not solely conveyed through the interaction of color. It is also a result of how the depth, angle, and buildup of the brush strokes capture and reflect light and shadow on each canvas. I love to create textural expressions of light and movement, surface tension and perspective. The vision for each of my works is to bring a little more joy into the vieweraEURtms life and to provide new ways of seeing the elements of light. jem...

Marek Kasprzak - The characters, objects, a structure embedded in an unspecified environment is the subject of most of my work. A surreal world full of inscrutable forms of pervasive emotional landscapes of the soul. The beginning is usually only an outline, a boost to the entrance of the land of colors, where the brush shows the way.The content of my images is the result of exploring further layers of smoldering visions. Defining the purpose of the work is unknown, but the temptation to visit the intangible places is huge. This portfolio is the beginning of a journey into the recesses of my imagination. Are you sure that the door which you are knocking at are to open? ...

Randy Sprout - I grew up in a small town in Northern Iowa, played football, coached the swimming team, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in printmaking studying under Mauricio Lasansky. I then went into the Army and ended up pulling 13 months in Korea on the DMZ. Coming out of Korea I entered UCLA and earned a MA and MFA in printmaking while studying under Jan Stussy and Stanton Mac-Donald Wright. The next year after the funds dried up on my Fulbright Award to Portugal, because of the Angola War, I was lucky to get hired by USC where I taught printmaking as a junior faculty member. I also replaced professors at UCLA when they went on sabaticals, and taught one year at Pierce College. In 1977 I tried Real Estate, you know just for the summer, but by fall I had purchased Century 21 Hollywood Inc. and had a new vocation going. Now 31 years into real estate, I'm coming full circle and starting to paint little quick studies 9X12. I'm using just 1/2 inch brushes and 5 colors. I intentionally limit my time to 2 hours after which I stop and throw ...

John Cielukowski - I focus on painting what interests and fascinates me. I also try to promote awareness of animal welfare issues through my paintings. I donate my work to local and national animal welfare and environmental organizations for their fundraising efforts. I received my BA in Fine Arts from Montclair University in New Jersey. I also studied at the School of Visual Arts SVA and The Art Students League in New York City. I am a founding member and board member of the Studios of Cocoa Beach, Florida. I am also an active member of the Central Brevard Art Association, located in Rockledge, Florida. ...

Kees Van Eyck - My works of art express a metarealistic perception of our world, traditional in the history of Dutch painting. However, the source of my inspiration can also be found in European surrealism as well in American hyper-, and photo realism. In my collection Portraits of Icons of the post-war period of the 20th century I introduced the iconography of our era. These images of celebrities characterise movie-stars, media personalities plus inspirational individuals from the field of music, art, politics and philosophy. With these portraits I pay tribute to famous people with extraordinary gifts and talents, who influenced the development of mankind and left their mark on various fields during the 20th century. My perception of life on Earth is often depicted in a surrealistic manner. My attitude towards our environment is charged with criticism as well as hope for a better future. My paintings aspire to evoke the sense of beauty and to raise awareness of burning issues in todays world....

Edelweiss Calcagno - www.edelweisscalcagno.com +1-240-701-9100 Using different techniques, some of them mixed together to create new unique techniques. My art is formed by adding layer after layer, producing extraordinary illusions making the mind get involved in the labyrinth of colors and materials. Viewers never stop discovering new things - there is something fresh each time they look at my pieces. My source of inspiration is that a picture can speak a thousand words. I have seen many times how my art can touch people. I believe in the freedom of rights and equality for all, and these beliefs impact my artwork and my message. My art does not judge, but it is honest, even when this means stating what I see there is a strong message. I trust my art because the word that comes out from it is a positive word. I discovered the beauty of creating sculptures and prints in addition to doing paintings, etching and restoring art and now they have become part of who I am. There are the infinite possibilities hidden in sculpture. Between mixed media, aluminum casting, and more I love to touch any type of material and find new ways to use ...

Leyla Murr - I am an artist whose desire to express has been incubating for a number of years. I feel I have an endless well of images inside me and each journey consists of spontaneous steps leading to a new adventure. This is how I view my life and my art. Colours and feelings cement the process. It is up to the viewer to find me. ...
