  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Joao Werner - I was born in a small town in a rural area of Southern Brazil called Bela Vista do ParaAso aEUR~beautiful view of paradiseaEURtm in Portuguese in 1962. I spent my early childhood in the fields, on a coffee farm, where I used to pick guavas and Brazilian grapes from the trees. I chased chickens all over the land and drank crystal clear water from the spring, which I collected using a banana leaf. When I grew older, I got a degree in Arts from Santa Marcelina College, in SAPSo Paulo, where I also got a MasteraEURtms degree in Communication and Semiotics from PUC - Pontifical Catholic University. IaEURtmve been working as an artist, more specifically with paintings and sculptures, since 1982. Actually, I started my work as a woodcarver and at that time, I had the opportunity to learn several different techniques, among them cement carving and oil on canvas. Although very different in their expression, I enjoy and feel comfortable using both techniques. Recently, I got interested in digital art and started experimenting with computer software to produce my own digital artwork. In fact, I reckon that form of art is as expressive as traditional painting ...

Pat Heydlauff - I discovered my love for painting in 1993 as I was transitioning out of a stress filled career and exploring my creative side. As a colorist, I painted lively, vibrant mainstream artwork consisting of landscapes, florals and still-lifes. Through painting I noticed my life was becoming balanced, and filled with harmony instead of stress. Painting allowed me to discover my spiritual nature and peace within and lead me to paint in a stream of consciousness flowing with energy. This flow of consciousness energy is visible in my recent "art with a message" canvas work where you can always find hope, peace and joy in the subject matter and every brush stroke. Painting is the physical manifestation of my spiritual being. It is the flow of energy through paint onto a two dimensional canvas projecting three dimensional energy. I endeavor to convey a vital energy through sight with color and design. My inspirational and mainstream artwork can be placed in areas of the home and office to create an environment with balance, harmony and a flow of energy which enriches the viewer. I believe that in our world today with cement cities, sound pollution and isolated environments, it is difficult ...

Bryce Brown - Brown focuses on simple moments of New Zealand life and reflects these scenes through his paintings with an earthy quality. i?1/2I feel compelled to make figurative paintings, to capture subtle movement and gestures and to evoke positive emotion through certain poise. I am always looking for images and movement to find strong line, usually working the image to a point where I have simplified and heightened the figure at the same time.i?1/2 Brown has paintings in collections in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the USA. Visit www.brycebrownart.com for more information. ...

Bryce Brown - Reiner Makarowski - I don't like the usage of " uploading the importance and the meaning of artworks by words". I don't like it at all ... and I'm committed not to take place in this marketing game. The main influences of my work seem to be the so called classic modernism represented for example by works of Kandinsky, Klee, Braques a.o. Other influences come from many contemporary painters , for example guys who prefer the so called "lyrical expressionism". And of course I'm on the road to find and establish "my style". ...

    Jessica Dunn -

Kees Van Eyck - My works of art express a metarealistic perception of our world, traditional in the history of Dutch painting. However, the source of my inspiration can also be found in European surrealism as well in American hyper-, and photo realism. In my collection Portraits of Icons of the post-war period of the 20th century I introduced the iconography of our era. These images of celebrities characterise movie-stars, media personalities plus inspirational individuals from the field of music, art, politics and philosophy. With these portraits I pay tribute to famous people with extraordinary gifts and talents, who influenced the development of mankind and left their mark on various fields during the 20th century. My perception of life on Earth is often depicted in a surrealistic manner. My attitude towards our environment is charged with criticism as well as hope for a better future. My paintings aspire to evoke the sense of beauty and to raise awareness of burning issues in todays world....

Dario Raffaele Orioli - A painting, statue or other work of art speaks best for itself, without superfluous words, but to say a few words about my opinion about art. Art allows us to live, differently at different periods stages of life. Different already in character, temperament of each individual. Through art I seek man Of course, many painters run away from looking for a man because it is a painstaking job, so it is easier for them to end up in abstractions, concepts, etc. under the pretext that it is modern. Abstraction is a trip to the unknown, but after many years of such a trip to the unknown, one gets tired and realizes that he needs the peace and stability he can find in the knowledge of the world around him, which is right outside of him and if he knows how to look, he can think through it enjoy it here and now There is a saying that every living being is a snapshot of nature towards man, this can be applied to art ....Any abstraction is an artists shot at figuration.... Of course it can be the other way around, but what a world this would be if it were ...

Sanjoy Rakshit - Nature is the almost topmost creators. And change is the nature of low. There changing are going on time to time, with the through every moment of step. Which moment is present, that will be past, after will be began new present time, with the new provisional. That feels need to sixth sense. In live to think, all kind of creativity are impressed with this. In huge moment, feels are lots of together, here ability of catching minimum, and this is depend on which is only in our in previous knowledge. My just as series is, spontaneous reflect of inner feelings & sense, which depend on timing .There can be something reality of present -past. Here appearance may would be supernatural atmosphere. There Lines & color able to reflect their own images , & language. So "Just As" trying to judge and define, the rhythmic flow & harmony of present sense, extraordinarily. THANKS. Rakshit ...
