Artwork Description:
This large painting was painted as a reaction to the United States response to the September 11th terrorist attacks. With a man upon a disconnected circus horse as a symbol for our disjointed response, we were reeling. Not since Pearl Harbor had we been attacked on our own soil. I personally felt outraged at how our country reacted and our response to strike out at Iraq. Above the rider in the right quadrangle of the painting is a white area that looks painted out. It is the trace of a dove that in my mind is still there.
