Artist Statement:
I was born in Canton of China
and became a Finnish citizen
recently.
In China, I studied both
traditional Chinese and
western art in Guangzhou
Academy of Fine Arts.
My main perspective is in
large-scale landscapes and the
stories displayed within these
landscapes.
Inspired by Chinese ancient
philosophy and Finnish nature,
my landscape-paintings portray
a unique style, a style which
I have developed over the
years.
Based upon the Chinese
painting techniques of
``rice-paper, seal print,
water and ink`` , I use and
apply pigment and metal foil
with animal glue.
This procedure grasps an
emotion or atmosphere of
nature.
In my landscape-stories,
humans and birds are tiny, but
not necessary unimportant.
The stories are about my views
to societies, both as a
Chinese born artist living in
the west and as a new Finnish
artist from the east. ...
