Murielle Argoud's Premiere Artist Portfolio
Welcome to Murielle Argoud's Portfolio. The applied painting technique of using oil, collage, sand, lava and gold leaf allows the dominant black of the painting to give off a refractive light. This in turn, evokes a vibrating, diversified light, which enhances the impression of a dynamic pictorial surface and assists in the reshaping of the natural elements. Through the use of these mixed materials, I create a feeling of depth, of a distance that can only be sensed, as some far "black hole". Consequently the painting develop its own complex reality, involving the relationship between me and my work and the viewer who partakes in this personal experience.
My quest is the one of the original principle, "in principio", the beginning of everything, in the fusion of the nature's elements, to feel and invigorate the beginnings of the mysteries of creation. The ineffable in my painting is born from the suggestion, which is the big secret; the revealed-unrevealed invite imagination for the discovery of oneself, which is the opening of the heart.
