Artist Statement:
Today, the world’s population may be found in areas ranging from cities, large and small, to towns where everybody knows each other. Regardless of our location, modern times make our lives a constant race, always speeding up. And what happens next? Little by little we stop noticing world surrounding us: streets that we walk on every day, windows we look into…
In the meantime each city is a living thing - a being that has its own features, look, personality, temper. In other words each city has its own unique spirit.
I would like to re-introduce this world to you, slightly opening the curtains drawn over it and giving you my perception of the city. I would like you to slow down just for short while and to look into the City’s eyes, see what it sees, smell its scents, and hear what it is trying to tell you.
My cityscapes are the way to pass on to you my vision of each distinctive city. I’m trying to feel and perceive what makes each city special and unique and what makes it the City. Then using my own technique I represent the City to the viewer, the...
