Pol Ledent - I am a self-taught artist. I was born in Belgium o, 23rd October 1952. I started painting in 1995 . I took some drawing lessons in the art academy in Dinant. Than, I had personal exhibitions in Rochehaut (Galerie La Potele), in Dinant (Galerie L'impression), in Paris (Rive Gauche Galerie Artimus) in Brussels (Galerie G-Loft).In 2004, I had three exhibitions, again In Rochehaut, galerie La Potele in May. Then, in September Exhibition Libr'art in Libramont. In November, Galerie Impression in Dinant. What people like most in my paintings are the colours. My art doesn't speak to the intellect but to the soul and to the feelings. Talink the risk to seem old fashioned , I would say it is rather romantic. I wish you much pleasure looking at my paintings. Julie Richman - The urban landscape is a reference point for the shapes and images I create in paintings, monotypes, drawings, and one-of-a-kind artist's books. Although this idea concerns the environment and is somewhat thematic, the work is abstract in that I use shapes, colors and geometric forms to express in paint, the feelings engendered by life in the concrete world. I transform what I see into a painting populated by shapes, colors, nonexistent dwellings and containers surrounded by fictitious plants, animals, and strange forms of life. These elements become characters in a visual drama within the picture plane, choreographed to take place during the time the work is viewed, much like music or film. ...
Linda Nesbit-Floria - I am inspired by so many things from Architecture and Fine Art, to Nature, Fashion and Pop Culture. I am a self-taught photographer, I photograph any object that jumps out and says "Capture Me." I create a whole new palette of textures and colors digitially. I create expressive art by using the combination of Photoshop and it's digital paint brushes. I am constantly developing new techniques that blurs the lines between photography and hand-created art. Photographs contain fine details. I transform my photos by changing their size, orientation, color, shadows, and highlights. I filter out the fine details to resemble a traditional painting. The fine detail is replaced by simplified strokes and color. I re-create all of the details. The final result breaks down the photographic qualities and reduces them to my personal expression of art. All original art is made-to-order with infinite options and applications, each image can also be personalized. Custom sizes are available as limited edition hi-resolution reproductions. Images are re-sized proportionately to the originals. Images are printed on archival quality giclee, canvas, and heavy weight mould made water color paper....
Debra Lennox - My latest work explores the vibrant use of pure colors & composition to express an intangible, surreal quality of a place. Light, color and form combine to push the figurative subject into the realm of dreams, capturing a moment in between the frenzied pace of modern life, when time slows and we become open to other, magical and spiritual influences on our lives. I am a painter in many mediums * watercolor, acrylic, & oils, and collage. I live in Comptche, California, and travel often for inspiration. I use my architectural degree as a designer and draftsman on the Mendocino Coast. I am a member at the Artists' Co-op of Mendocino, where I sell original works, laser prints and art cards. My work can be viewed at dblennox.com or artgallerymendocino.com...
