Alexander Hinovsi - My art is inspired by different aspects of our lives. It is connected with the nature, living beings, psychology, spirituality, cosmology and certain philosophical views. I am interested in different areas of art, that is why as an artist I try to use different techniques related to it. I am strongly influenced by surrealism, symbolism, post-impressionism, secession. I am also interested in installation art and I already have works on this subject. I mainly work in the field of painting, but sometimes I do graphic and decorative art. For me the art is a ray of light. The light, which we the artists express to share it with the other people. The light, that we realize to express our ideas. What would a persons life look like without art The art makes us feel happy, sad, empathetic. It exalted and recharges us. The art is light, a reflector for man, helping him to move beyond his everyday life, to break this reality into something different, interesting and inspiring. ...
Riley Young - I started to work with ceramics because it was a medium that held me accountable. There are no shortcuts or cheats in ceramics, it takes time and patience. Ceramics was also a way for me to rethink the everyday, common objects in my life. This began as an obsession with bowls and has since spiraled into anything you can find in a kitchen. I enjoy the fact that everything is made to be touched, loved and eventually broken after years of use. Working primarily in stoneware using clean, simple glazes on functional pieces of pottery I bring into focus the beauty of everyday kitchen objects. Although the materials guide that first encounter, the form follows suit. I create works that fit in the hand perfectly, with an emphasis on touch and feel, enhancing our simple, everyday moments. We all have different relationships with objects that are handmade versus commercially produced. Handmade objects often have a personalized feel, almost as if to be communicating an emotion. This is a collection of various works that showcases a variety of different techniques and mediums. I bring the philosophy of touch and texture from my ceramic works into my two dimensional works such as ...

Helen Purcell - Early Life Helen has been painting most of her life and is largely self-taught. After studying at school in Burnley, Lancashire, she went on to pursue other avenues of interest, but always continued to paint and draw for pleasure. Graduating in Primary Education, she qualified as a Primary School Teacher. Following this she worked in varying roles in manufacturing, all of which she believes taught her to value the excitement in artistic expression and to communicate in a very honest, direct style. It has been described that her paintings'bring much pleasure to the eye, and are a talking point.' New Developments This year, as Helen made the leap from acrylic pop art into other avenues, interest in her style of work grew. She has, since then successfully sold abstract paintings in acrylic medium and commission pieces in oils. Her new skill in oil medium is an addition to her portfolio and the result of a natural creative development, as Helen continues to challenge herself and push her own artistic and technical boundaries. Her vibrant, striking, but delicate effects capture the soul and personality of her subjects; they produce bold and exciting original paintings. ...
