Mikhail Vedernikov - My name is Mikhail, I was born and live in Artemovskiy, Sverdlovsk region, Russia. I am a self-taught artist, I have no art education. I became interested in drawing in 2007, while I was studying at College. Drawing has completely captured me so I am drawing, watching tutorials, reading articles nearly my whole free time. During this period pastels got my favorite media. My first set of pastel pencils I bought only in 2011 and by that time I already had theoretical knowledge about this material, which I could apply in practice. As a direction I chose realism, genre aEUR" animalism. In 2014 I started birdwatching. I donaEURtmt often manage to get out on a photo hunt, but in those rare cases I get a lot of pleasure watching the birds, making beautiful photos and discovering new interesting species that I have not met before....

Janet Page - JANET PAGE FINE ARTIST BACKGROUND Janet was born in Port Elizabeth daughter of a Chinese restaurant owner, Gilbert Ah Kun and Chinese mother Daisy. Studied under Hillary Graham, Alexander Podlashuc, Hilton Nel, Phil Kolbe and Neil Rodger at the Port Elizabeth Technikon from 1979 to 1982 where she received The National Diploma in Fine Art, Higher National Diploma in Fine Art and the National Diploma in Technology in Art. Her thesis was on The Life and Works of Dorothy Kay, one of South Africa's foremost Portrait painters. Janet had her first one man show in 1983 where one of her works sold to an American Politician and 2 works are in the South African Embassy in London. Janet has works in Germany, Australia, Canada and various cities in South Africa. Janet presently resides in Durban South Africa with her son Jonathan. Walter Fydryck - I am presenting birds in a different manner. I am presenting women in a different manner. Combining women with birds in unexpected situations sets up a tension that is otherwise unforeseen. Without establishing a relationship between bird and women, an isolation exists that supports a strange mood. This isolation is heightened by graphic sensibilities. An acrylic wash is brushed on BFK Reeves paper and after delineating imagery with a grease pencil, applied color pencil and soft pastel are rubbed into the wash. Repeated rubbings result in rich color while minimal rubbing accentuates the expressive wash. The result is a layered transparency....
