Artists Describing Their Art:
Marcelo Novo - Like a musician playing by ear and improvising as he goes, my art begins not with cautious preliminary sketches but working directly on the chosen surface and completing a work in one sitting. When I begin, I never know what will manifest itself. I start by doodling and when I feel as though things are happening, I follow. Whatever is in my mind has to go through my arm, my hand, so to avoid interference I choose materials that let me work quickly. When finished, I don't go back and re-work it. This approach allows a more spontaneous and intuitive way of creating art. My art has its roots in Latin American and European Surrealism, a movement that believes art holds the key to unlock the inner workings of the mind, and reveals aspects of the psyche otherwise hidden. Diverse recurrent symbols appear in my work as manifestations of my life experiences, some of which are closely related to my Latin American cultural heritage and my life in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I find adapting to a new culture both rewarding and enriching. The process is often helped by the intuitive approach with which I create my art. Similarly...
Sharon Ebert - I paint because I love it! Born and raised in Chicago I now live in Fiji, in the heart of the South Pacific which has given me a kind of peace and tranquility that I discovered living on the ocean, along with elevating my sense of humor. I paint what I see and feel, always experimenting with new impressions that I put on canvas. I like to call my work "Gentle Surreal Escapes". I hope my paintings are enjoyed as much as I enjoy creating them....

Renso Castaneda - From Peru, I have been painting about 10 years, I have always been mesmerized by the human form, my current work concentrates on the nude, and surrealism, and the medium that I use is oil. My interest is focused in the different aspects of the human relationship, the feelings, the emotions, love, and pain. When I paint I like to add drama by adding light and shadow enhancements to get more _expression to accent the theme of every painting. I have several collectives exhibitions and 15 solo show, I have been showing my artwork in South America, United States, and Europa (Spain) ...
Larsen Lena - At the vanity, chasing the dream that is often just a mirage, tired with stress and permanent search, at the stream of rushing days and years we sometimes stand motionless for a while seeing something beautiful: open flower, spring dusk, the picture that suddenly attracted our attention. It is possible that such abstractions and revelations are the main meaning of art. After all, the artist's brush can really fix the time, place, and mood, and capture for a moment our mind, tossing between past and future, and thus awake our feelings and thoughts......

Oleg Lipchenko - What about an art? Probably I'm not an artist - just a musician without a voice. And what I'm using for singing - paint and canvas. It's pretty much like singing. Sing a song when you want, when it's singing itself, when your voice is just following the inner melody. That's an Art what I call it. . . . . . About an inspiration. Art is very personal thing. Artwork, being inspired of something, could touch or induce a personal response in someone, and who knows will it be related to the source inspiration. My latest works are primarily much more abstract, sometimes absolutely abstract. This character of my painting doesn't depend of what I like or what I don't like in art. I'm not a special fan of abtract art or realism, but I hate statements, programs and manifests in art. It goes as it goes, or at least it should. If you ask me what style or the direction my paintings belong to, the question doesn't make much sense to me. Directions and styles are just labels or stamps which help dealers to pack and sell art. I like such words as Realism, Surrealism, Abstract...
Christopher Oraced Decaro - IMPRESSIONIST/ARTIST BIO: ORAced REHpotsirhc was born in an alternate Impressionist subconscious world of Artist : Christopher DeCaro. Known as a master of finely detailed and realism artwork, DeCaro, takes a complete detour into the colorful realm of soothing impressionist lines and dreamy landscaped scenery. A realm that frees the mind from decisions of detail that are black and white to the unlimited array of bold and brilliant unpredictable color. So opposite is this new style for Artist:DeCaro, that he even signs his name in reverse, which is where the name "ORAced REHpotsirhc" is derived from. The Impressionist style for ORAced carries into many of the fluid and imaginative worlds that relate to the surreal mind. Soft and bold colors intertwine into an underlying layer of reality. For example, in the painting "Vino ,Tuscany Style" a day dream of Tuscany on a warm sunny day fills the background as a simple bottle of Vino is waiting to be opened. The day carries on until the heat of the sun almost forces the Vino bottle to open itself and drink. "Impressionism is a dream painted onto canvas, opening windows to the subconscious realm where there are no restrictions and unlimited possibilities. ...
Otto Rapp - BOGOMIL'S UNIVERSE - the Inner Universe of Otto Rapp Bogomil's Universe is an excursion into the realms of the Inner Universe - a parallel universe that exists in the mind, and glimpses thereof are presented here. I am increasingly reluctant to speak of my work as strictly and exclusively surrealistic. While Surrealism provided the initial spark, and some of the methods of Surrealism are employed, I do not suppress the influence of the rational and selective focus. Thus, particularly in later works, there is to be found a conscious juxtaposition of the complementary forces of inspiration and reason. I do not concern myself with the elimination of the rational, the exclusivity of the irrational and the absurd, but presentation of the conscious and subconscious world as an inseparable whole. I draw my inspirations from the layered labyrinth underground which represents the other side of life, which is an inner imaginative-inspirational counterpart to the outer world, expressed with the help of logic-alogic associations, analogisations and symbolism. The paintings in the cyclus Bogomil's Universe are derived by creating textural surfaces, the method of Decalcomania as pioneered by the Surrealists, letting color, consistency and flow of the paint determine initial ...
Winnie Davies - I started my initial art training with traditional Chinese painting and Chinese Calligraphy. I've found that the traditional art training gave me a good foundation for my further development of art, even in oil painting and sculpture. I love art of all forms and all media, art shouldn't have any limitation....
