Artists Describing Their Art:
Xavier Mc Phie - Xavier McPhie ,,Mystical Art" from the Caribbean The artist Xavier McPhie originates from the West Indies, exactly from Trinidad and Tobago. He was born close to the capital of Trinidad, Port-of-Spain, and grew up in a large family. As soon as in his school days his talent revealed itself as he decorated his exercise books with extraordinary figures. It were already the stylized warriors, bushmen and priests, that until today are the artist's trademark. In his free time adolescent Xavier passionately enjoyed his comic collection and plunged deeply into the superheros' universe. His friends simply call him ,,X". A further aspect of his rich fantasy world are classic celtic myths with fairies, elves, gnomes and trolls. The source of this fascination can be found in his family history as some of his ancestors originate from Scotland and Wales indeed. During several months stays in these countries Xavier was able to explore this part of his roots. The colorful Caribbean Carnival, the sounds of Steel pans and Reggae, the Rastafari movement and ancient African nature cults on one hand, sinister Highlands, misty hills, enchanted forests and Celtic legends on the other hand. Between these poles Xavier McPhies unique...
Mark Schwing - Ideally the artist is employed by society at large. The artist helps define culture and culture makes us who we are in whatever time and place we are at. Of course most of us are not living in caves anymore but even then art helped society function; helped the hunter hunt, showed people what to do. Art is still showing people what to do in a way. Whether it is raising awareness by showing what is going on, teaching by example or simply exploring ideas that give people ideas. My art is about ideas as much as anything else but it is a surrealistic and intuitive approach. So what is presented isn't a literal interpretation, it is more like exploring the idea with art. It is really another reality. It mirrors our reality and/or it is influenced by our reality. I can't help but be affected by what is going on around me and I am interested in the transcendental as well. Please visit my website, www.markschwing1.com, for more images....
Alexander Hinovsi - My art is inspired by different aspects of our lives. It is connected with the nature, living beings, psychology, spirituality, cosmology and certain philosophical views. I am interested in different areas of art, that is why as an artist I try to use different techniques related to it. I am strongly influenced by surrealism, symbolism, post-impressionism, secession. I am also interested in installation art and I already have works on this subject. I mainly work in the field of painting, but sometimes I do graphic and decorative art. For me the art is a ray of light. The light, which we the artists express to share it with the other people. The light, that we realize to express our ideas. What would a persons life look like without art The art makes us feel happy, sad, empathetic. It exalted and recharges us. The art is light, a reflector for man, helping him to move beyond his everyday life, to break this reality into something different, interesting and inspiring. ...

Radosveta Zhelyazkova - My brush is soft, gentle and emotional. Sometimes it guides me to vibrant, colorful landscapes, other times to dark and mysterious domains. I go where it leads me. I am a lover of nature and her many manifestations. My family owns lands of lavender and sage. I often spend my free time in the countryside around their farm. I am inspired by what I see there. This is how I create my landscapes of grass, meadows, lilacs and lilies, of seas of wheat and orchards of trees. I also love to travel and explore different destinations around the world. My paint brush is my constant companion. It helps me to capture and recreate my travels. You can see some of them in my paintings rustic fields in Bulgaria, ProvenASSal houses in the South of France, seaside villages in Italy, noisy plazas in Mexico, swaying palm trees in Florida and the monumental buildings that make up the vast skyline of New York City. All of these scenes have touched my heart and, as a result, my canvas. Perhaps they will touch you too. Enjoy your journey through my work and I wish you the best of all thataEURtms beautiful, ...
