Artists Describing Their Art:
Carlos Bruscianelli - ARTISTS STATEMENT. Almost all my work is inspired by Contemporary Realism Heavily influenced by classical realism and hyperrealism. My favorite technique is the oil on canvas, the genre that I practice most often is the Still Life, because of its infinite compositional and pictorial possibilities. As for my paintings, it is common for me to use elements that go unnoticed, some marbles, a piece of Kraft paper, glass goblets, a Rubiks cube, seemingly insignificant but chromatically interesting pieces of wood and metal with organic textures or created by the human being, who pose a challenge to be accurately represented for any painter. Currently my work focuses on the main elements of the composition, accompanied by neutral backgrounds, with the aim of the viewer fix their eyes on these pieces. My goal, like that of every painter of the realist genre, is to follow the long road of technical perfection, this is certainly a utopian goal and may sound like something very pretentious, but, constantly improving in every aspect of life is not a Bad habit, although I have many defects, being conformist is not one of them. T.e. Siewert - I found myself at that place in time where you know you must do what you were meant to do and do it now or it will never happen. For me, that meant creating art - taking the experiences and feelings of my life and placing them on a surface to try and capture meanings that I can share with others. My hope is that the viewer of my art will share these experiences in a way that will move them, that they will take something with them that will be remembered. I liken it to a dance where I invite them to share a moment of time with me and we will together explore thoughts of nature, secrets, times and places that we dream of or wish for. Or at times to simply reflect serenity - a feeling of everything in its place and as it should be. Sometimes the dance is samba-like, joyous and colorful - sometimes its a waltz, slow and purposeful. But always it is moving and requires thought and invokes emotion. I have used many mediums over the years but none has captured my imagination like encaustic - an inspired blend of beeswax and damar resin. Placed in ...
Felix Velez - My art work is a combination of life, striving to create what influences me by everything I see, feel and experience. I focus on the environment and human nature. I like to bring history into our time by recreating life-like sculptures from famous personalities like Einstein. While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project, my methods are consistent. When working with clay or any medium, it is important to acknowledge the meaning of the sculpture. The topic matter of each body of work determines the materials I need to incorporate in the making of the sculpture, like clay, wood or metal. The experience is very rewarding when molding with my hands and capturing that moment in time. Sculpting is my way of being creative without limits. I continuously look for ways to discover new possibilities to challenge my imagination. Each piece of art, whether figurative or abstract, is an original and innovative design. It is delivered with excellence, performance and integrity....

John Peter Glover - At its foundation, my work uses a linear element as the basis for the composition. The intended result is to suggest or convey the essence of an object(s) in a vague manner often wrapped in an expressive emotional context. Based on a vast supply of my own drawings as a primary resource, I compound and refine the images until I'm satisfied that I have the right combination. Often, this is a matter of using layer upon layer of a building process within the image area. The subject or theme is certainly contemporary. I consider it to be more sensual than it is political, yet expressive, somewhat akin to the expressionistic style of the mid-twentieth century moderns. The work is also more surreal than representational. I work both with traditional mediums (acrylic on canvas) as well as with digital tools. Regardless of the medium the central concept or message is never a "slave" to the medium. The images will assume a varied appearance or "complexion" depending the medium . Although I find that the digital work in general is not always understood in terms of it's archival integrity, I can assure my buyers that my work is always ...
