Deborah Paige Jackson - I love art and design in all forms and medium, in every aspect of my life. It's a part of who I am and something I can't get away from. I try to use true to life situations when possible. My favorite medium is watercolor because of the beauty of it. It seems to have a life of it's own as it flows and connects with the paper. Yet, the medium forces me to think and use extraordinary control. I am at a point in my life where the thought of art, design, and all the components involved in them consume my thinking. It shows up in my home in decorating, in my garden with landscaping, in my work, even with my family. Bill Pullen - Bill Pullen's artistic style is a fusion of his architectural/urban planning experience with the world of fine art. These influences are very evident in his paintings of landscapes and architectural subjects which convey strong composition and line, bold color, sharp contrast and precise detail. For Bill, working in the medium of watercolor with its unpredictability and fluidity is always a challenge because it is so unforgiving. Unlike oil or acrylic, watercolor does not allow for mistakes or corrections so it is always exciting and rewarding to get it'right' the first time. Marc Crisafulli - Born and raised in suburban Maryland, I enjoy the freedom my computer allows me to take freelance work from all over the country. In 1992 I was offered a position on the original "Ren & Stimpy Show" at Spumco in Los Angeles. Other animation studios I've worked for have included Cartoon Network, Klasky Csupo, and Walt Disney TV Animation. I like the speed and precision programs like Adobe Photoshop can offer me, but that hasn't stopped me from working with traditional materials on a regular basis, including brush and ink, watercolor, colored pencils, and gouache. For many years I've been developing several original concepts and characters for a variety of venues and mediums. I did a great deal of illustration for the book Rough Draft: Pop Culture the Way It Almost Was...some examples of the Dr. Seuss work I did for the book can be found at the link below. Other illustration clients include The New York Press and several record covers for The Kung Fu Monkeys. Deborah Wilson - ARTIST STATEMENT - DEBORAH WILSON Ii?1/2m a native of Missouri, but, my husband and I have taken many opportunities to experience other areas of the US and our neighboring countries. So, my artwork is influenced by all of those cultures and environments which we have spent time in. This includes cross-country camping and hiking trips, which dip into Canada or Mexico, along with various missions trips, working vacations and temporary residences. We have gone on working vacations for extended time periods in USVI (St. John) and Yellowstone National Park. And, my husband and I were dual residents of Missouri and Hawaii for about 5 or 6 years. So, as you can imagine, there is great diversity of subject matter and I need several more lifetimes to paint everything that is wanting to be painted! Some paintings have been done in our camper, some in a makeshift studio in the closet, on the floor or on the dining room table. Here in Missouri, I have a studio separate from our house on our land, just outside of Springfield. Who we are and whatever is in our hearts tends to come out in our artwork. Robert Reinhardt - Artist Statement My camera lens explores the inspiring and sensitive interconnections between the temporal elements of time and history and their relationship to the changing environment. Several photographic software programs are employed to recreate the original landscape photograph to manipulate the original design of these images. It is the careful observer that begins to discover the delicate objects and surfaces that lie hidden amidst the many layers of images all packaged into one final piece. My intention is to subject the original images to the ravages of time. The rich patinas and the weather worn surfaces magnetically draw me in as I return each image. The images that I chose to include document a specific theme of aEURoeEnd of DaysaEUR. The newly constructed images bring to life a strength that lives on in these landscapes. They seem almost indifferent to the elements that continue to wear at their surfaces and challenge their structural integrity. At the same time, nature is painting an entirely new palette in which they will exist. It is the collision and contrast of that ongoing confrontation that draws me into these landscapes. Aniko Hencz - I have been drawing and painting ever since I could hold a pencil in my hand...Most of my works are inspired by nature, buildings and personal feelings which end in abstract or conceptual paintings and drawings - it all depends on my mood. My favorite technique is watercolor and ink, but I also like to paint with acrylic or oil. Another medium I create in, is digital art, where my works are the creations of my imagination.
