Elham Moaidnia - As an artist I find my passion lays within seeking new inspiration, and constantly creating unique artwork. A strong work ethic is a joy for me, as it reminds us all that persistent effort is required to build something for the future. Rising above political issues, my goal is to visualize the world around meaEUR" telling its story through my painting. During my process I remind myself to be free, look for the magic in the world, and let the colors flow onto the canvas. I have a multitasking mind and am often inspired by calligraphy during a painting session. Rather than a burden, I find this conundrum fascinating and am constantly amused by my ability to supersede the boundaries of the medium. I enjoy capturing a visual record of different generations, continuously as I encounter them. I turn them into conversations with my artwork and emphasize the effect of tradition. Leveraging imagination and exaggerating reality to create a theatrical scene with my painting brings me joy. Crafting audience provoking thoughts with figures of happiness and grief are the key elements of my work. I view my technique as a modified style of traditional and narrative art....
Vladimir Kolosov - I believe there to be no greater medium for expression than works of art, an idea is best spread through artwork as it allows the audience to interpret it in their own individual ways aEUR" which creates a stronger bond between art and audience. For this reason I chose art as my main means of expressing both the extraordinary and the simple joys and intricacies of the world that I have come across in my lifetime. Words would not suffice in trying to explain the inner workings of the mind aEUR" paint on a canvas does a much better job at showcasing the emotions and thoughts that ran through my mind with each particular event or thought portrayed in my artwork. Some of these artworks relate directly to events that I have experienced, and some are just ponders of what could have been or what is currently happening around the world from my point of view. Art is my passion, and my main way of letting the fragments of my mind flow out and allow them to be expressed....
Tina Mastin - Tina grew up with a pad of paper and pencil in her hand. Drawing was her favourite childhood past time. She was given her first camera at age 9 and the world opened up for her with a camera in her hands. She loves taking photographs from a perspective not often seen or noticed; breathing life into everyday things and drawing the viewer into the scene. Painting with acrylics in an abstract, expressionistic style is her personal way of expressing emotions oftentimes too complicated or painful to articulate. She is currently experimenting with the subtle intricacies of watercolour and loving the learning process of this different type of art as well. "Everyone feels something different when they see my work. The emotions they feel are as unique as each person is. We all have our secrets inside. I add paint to mine and put them on canvas." "Painting gives me a way to expel all the colours, thoughts and emotions constantly colliding in my mind. I primarily consider colour when I start a new painting. What colours am I feeling at that moment? I hope my work will ultimately be placed where people stop and stare for a while, seeing...
