I started painting as a way to spend time with my daughters. I found that I truly enjoyed doing this. So, I started painting on my own and experimenting with different ways of doing things. I find that I really enjoy using sponges for my backgrounds because of the blending being so smooth. I also like to find different things in the house to give me different looks. I've even used strings for a special effect. Dragging string or using sponges whatever I decide to use gives me my original look that I really like. When I paint something structured, I find after that I like to get really expressive with the next painting. My hope is to find my personal signature type of work that is different and that speaks to not only me, but to the people that enjoy my work.
