Dave Martsolf - Dave Martsolf Dave Martsolf was born in 1949 in Kansas, moved to Western Pennsylvania in early childhood and at age 12 moved to New Hampshire where he resides today. MartsolfaEURtms father and grandfather were architects and his mother a professional photographer. Martsolf attended MIT and later UNH where he earned a degree in Fine Arts. His early work was influenced by the great masters and others such as the post-impressionists Miro, Matisse, Kandinsky, Klee, Picasso, and the surrealist Salvador Dali. Architectural instincts developed due to his close association with architecture in his youth. DaveaEURtms focus has been in visual arts his entire life. His style extends from realism to surrealistic to fantasy and abstraction. His work uses the mediums of oils, watercolors, inks and pencils, to the more technically-oriented media of computer-based art. Beginning in the late 80aEURtms Martsolf spent productive time with the tools of Bryce, Poser, KaiaEURtms Power Tools, and similar photo editing and photo manipulation products. He was creator, owner and artistic director of Damsel Software Group in the 1990aEUR2s as a producer and manufacturer of original content screen savers. Today, Dave has returned to handmade art. Ruslan Khais - For the last four years the landscape has been predominant subject in my art. Shimmer of sun light, coming trough the leaves and its ever-changing reflections in the water become the subject of my paintings. I am searching for pastoral images that have some sort of resonance rather than meaning. My fascination with light has started as an attempt to rethink the legacy of Pointillism, which in our time of the digital media and pixilation, has found a new frame of reference. Emphasizing the well organized chaos of colorful dots, stripes, seemingly mechanical brush marks and alluding to some aspects of digital photography, is resulting the paintings with soft focus were the border between realistic image and abstraction are blurred. The way I wont the painting to come out is more the way of trying to depict an image what is not about reality, but one that is some how in between the actuality of a scene and something that is in your head ...

Vladimir Volosov - I was born in 1937 in Leningrad, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia). My way to art was a lengthy one. Before becoming an artist, I studied for thirty years at the forefront of modern physics as a PhD scientist and professor, author more than 150 scientific articles in contemporary laser physics. Thirty years of strenuous scientific work on the front edge of modern physics gives me a deep feeling for the anxiety and unprotectedness of the world's beauty. The formula, "beauty saves the world" fits my own attitude. My creed is also embodied in the statement: "to have time to realize everything given to you by Nature." At the threshold of my fifties, I decided to live one more life, a new, alluring life of the free artist. I walked away from my established scientific career and completely devoted myself to painting. In 1991 I founded and headed the association "Light, Color and Art" to connect with scientists engaged in the arts. The main directions of my paintings are lyrical realism and abstract compositions. My paintings are about light, color, atmosphere and space. For me, the most important elements are light and color and their juxtaposition/nexus/meeting of...

Alicia Maury - ARTIST STATEMENT My paintings are inspired by simple and beauty of nature with beautiful forest colors, the valley with different flowers, the air that you can feel it when it is touching you and murmuring melodies in your ears like a fresh rainy day. You can see also clouds dancing in the sky as well as listening to the winds musical rhythms. You can find shapes, colors and moment of weather and drama. My goal is to attempt to express something more than landscape or seascape. I want to express freedom, peace, serenity and memories of those simple and traditional things. It is my hope that the viewer will be transported there with my paintings. ...

Isaac Brown - ISAAC S. BROWN As his day job Isaac is president and CEO of Baltic Street AEH Inc. A non-for profit agency that helps people coping with mental health issues deal with advocacy, employment and housing based in New York city. Mr. Brown has been painting for over 35 years. This self-taught artist has been previously employed in a variety of jobs including lumberjack, diamond cutter, welder and sergeant in the Israeli Defense Forces. It was during his time in the IDF as a young sergeant during periods of down time that he first picked up a brush and paints to begin to express his artistic creativity. Later in between maneuvers, during his time in the first Lebanese War, he began experimenting with whatever materials were available to a young soldier, creating sculptures and roadside art along the way from one camp to another as a release from the daily pressures and responsibly of caring for his fellow soldiers. After leaving the army he traveled the world extensively continuing painting and sculpting along the way. He spent a considerable time amount living in Europe and thus bringing to his art a unique worldwide perspective. His artwork reflects the passion...

Isaac Brown - Marinescu Cosmin - Aldous Huxley said that aEURoeexperience itaEURtms not what happens to you aEUR" itaEURtms how you interpret what happens to youaEUR. We are rushing through our lives with needs of fulfilment and forget the basic needs of the soul. Every single experience with people or spaces and their surroundings can give us an idea about the purpose of our lives as role plays. In a desire of changing the mentality of people I discovered different methods to have them knowing the importance of each individual. We are under the influence of mass media and we forgot that we are able to choose the life we like, being responsible for our actions at the same time. Each person has the option to have a dream and to follow it and not to try to copy other personsaEURtm lives and dreams. In a society in which we are fed with all kind of information, our status must be online aEUR" otherwise we are not existing. By that we try to find ourselves creating different representations of our personalities and realities. The illusion of a aEURoeperfectaEUR life comes to us in different forms and doesnaEURtmt allow us to discover our true beliefs and ...

Vasile Ghiuta - My artistic credo is simple. God gave unexpected things you can see or feel palpable. At the same time, God has given us things we cannot see: emotions, feelings and experiences. In my works, I have tried and still try to give a visual expression of those emotions, feelings and experiences. The selection of colors and techniques are means to try to get this. I want from those who look at my work to have a reaction aEUR" to trigger a feeling. He/she may have a feeling of pleasure or disgust, irritation or joy. Every sentiment triggered by watching my paintings is a success. From my point of view, the worst thing what could happen is no reaction from the viewer. Life is an amazing journey meant to be exciting, interesting and challenging. From the beginning to the end, each step we make is actually a move forward in our endeavor to discover the world and its fantastic, abundant, yet intriguing secrets/gifts. Step by step, from childhood to the age of wisdom, we also learn day by day about ourselves and about other individuals, as well. Self-discovery is perhaps one of the greatest lessons each of us tries ...

Vyara Tichkova - I get inspiration from everything around me. Its can be a song, an emotion, a book, a song, a story from my friend, its unpredictable what can touch my soul... Im amazed how much abstraction have in the nature in the simple thinks and in elementary pictures of everyday life. My passion is to traveling around the world, every new journey gives me a fresh opportunity to develop and change my vision and ideas. I see new cultures, learn curious stories and stand in front of amazing natural views, I meet the achievements of man in everyone aspect. That take my breath and poses new challenges to me as an artist. I would not want to explain my artworks because I believe that the works of art are the connection between the artist and the viewer. This is another level of communication, another kind of language that does not need words ......
