Artwork Description:

The Shopper is from a tribe of very small African people who serve the goddess Oya. Since Oya is such a demanding goddess,the shopper is in charge of shopping for daily offerings. Totally hand sewn. All recycled or previously used materials. The basket/tray she is mounted on is 14" in diameter and has a wire hanger on the back. I vegetate on the sofa all winter and make these little folks completely by hand from materials in my stash. Not a toy.
