Artwork Description:
When I was a young boy, I played in a tree that looked a lot like this painting. That particular tree's roots were in the ground. Although, after being told that there were equal or more roots for the branches I saw, I began to dream of other expansive possibilities.
Boyhood imagination is a wonderful thing and I feel blessed for having a good memory.
Family Tree was painted to serve as a primary design tile in digital technology. All branches and roots lead to other things when attached in different formulas.
So this acrylic and ink painting allows me to create new art by using the painting as a digital tool that translates expansive ideas from boyhood imagination.
Do you remember pounding nails in scrap lumber to climb the tree? Sitting on planks watching the birds come and go?
Feeling the life of the tree?
Do you remember the expansive ideas of innocence?
Original painting is available along with Open Series Prints from the publisher. Artist Handsigning of prints is available for additional handling fee.
