The Arch and the Courthouse, portrayed here in grey winter light, are the two defining points in St. Louis. The octagonal courthouse, with its fourwings and dome is very interesting to paint. The St. Louis Arch diminishes all other structures. Painted from the 30th floor of the LeClede Building.
