Artwork Description:
This is one of my favorite paintings. My son-in-law planted the 3 foot seeding on my front lawn years ago. It didnt grow but I kept tending it. Finally I dug it up and found it was still in the plastic bag Mark brought it in. I released the roots, gave it some good fertilizer. It started to grow, and bloomed, and gave a bit of shade too. So I sat under it and painted it and complimented it for giving me lots of gorgeous buttercup like flowers. This painting is rich with textures and colors because in my passion and to save time since I had an appointment with the tax man, I used trowels, smearing the paint on in rich thick strokes. The frame is carved pickled. It is a dear painting. A collector's piece by a collected artist.
