Artwork Description:
Encelades is a small moon of Saturn, of special interest to NASA. In the Cassini Mission, exploratory parachutes were sent in by the European Space Union to land and report back if human life can be sustained there. The jury is still out. It is apparently an orb with liquid sources. I made this lovely textured surface of silver enamel coagulated into a rocky silver surface I can look at it and dream of my Fathers stories of when people will live safely on these planets and heavenly orbs. This work is on stretched canvas. Encelades, a designated real place is a moon of Planet Saturn. It is interesting, below zero and exciting with its blues, silvers, textures and deep crevasses. I am interested in creating textures so I work to coagulate thick paint by mixing thickeners so my paintings have a topographical feature like large early earth globes swirling in museums with yellows for high places and lows of deep blue for the Pacific Seas for mountains and deep sea. I saw them in museums as a child. Gallery wrapped. new lower price! down from 800 to $600
