Artwork Description:

This is a portrait of Maharajah Kishan Singh 1899-1929 , from Rajastan, India in 1902 age 3. He became maharajah at one year of age, with his mother acting as regent until he came of age at 18. He was married at 14 and had 7 children before his death at age 30. He was instrumental in bringing about many social reforms, including compulsory education. Acrylics and acrylic ink on canvas.
