Stephen Halls latest painting Mel and Fanny, the Portrait commissioned by owners of legendary Burlesque and variety club The Slipper Room James Habacker and Camille Helene Habacker. This painting was commissioned for their new soon to be filmed movie Mel and Fanny the Movie.
This painting has an ecological plea to it. The skeletal bird, the plastic bottle with ribbing echoes the ribs of the bird and the background of dying flowers.
All in all a concern for our planet. Had I omitted the eye it would be merely a still life, but by placing the accusing eye, it gives the painting life.
