Artwork Description:

I spotted this beautiful sunrise one winter morning as I crossed the Shepherd Street bridge over Houston s Buffalo Bayou. The gorgeous colors in the sky complemented the hazy colors of the downtown buildings so perfectly and the bare winter branches of the trees on the bank near the bridge were so elegant and lyrical against those colors. The surface of the bayou waters below were reflecting the sky and the trees along the banks. I just had to paint it This painting sold in my 2006 solo show in downtown Houston to a Federal U. S. District Court Judge. I was very honored she selected my painting for her offices
